With hopeful eyes on the forecast, and a group of buddies eager to get on it, I sat at home on Friday night. The plan was to drive south, but since it was my dad's big 50th birthday and we had just driven back from the OBX, we caravanned north.

After Stephen suffered a torn ligament we decided to hit the road and head home on the ferry. My buddy Kevin Shulz called to get the low down on the swell, and since he was driving through MD he camped out at a McDonalds until I arrived a couple hours later. After that, we surfed for about a day until the wind switched, and then this glorious event unfolded before our eyes. Heres what we came up with.

After being kids in a candy store for 3 days straight, we decided to continue doing so, and stop by the local arcade.
Then back up to Jersey it was! Kev and I competed in the Belmar Pro, where I was fortunate to get equal 3rd, and Kevin took it out!!! This week felt like a vacation, even though I was at home the majority of the time, and I love that the ocean can have that effect on us:)
